Pre-vitalization
Pre-vitalization is the most important step in the re-vitalization process. It is an excellent way to begin reclaiming the abandoned/distressed properties in our cities. RPDG encourages activities that appeal to the economic and cultural demoraphics of surrounding areas. These activities draw attention to properties that can not only increase civic pride but also discourage vandalism and other criminal activities. The increased visability and heightened awareness can lead to buy-in from the community-at-large and bolster the strategic planning process.
Strategic Planning is one of the most exciting times in the re-vitalization process. It encourages and gives birth to creative and exciting alternatives to blight. Getting buy-in from the community-at-large is crucial in giving citizens a voice when it comes to the fate of their communities. This step in the process helps RPDG to clarify the needs and desires of the stake holders and attempt to see them met within the codes and laws set by city governments.
Re-vitalization is the final stage in the process of reclaiming our communities and breathing new life into them. RPDG facilitates the smooth transition of new businesses, tenants and vendors into the newly re-vitalized community. This can include helping plan grand openings, enhancing social media exposure and patronizing new businesses when applicabale. New businesses will be a reflection of community needs and concerns arising during the strategic planning process. Through periodic follow-up, RPDG hopes to promote positive economic growth and a vibrant new community.
Economic Development is a crucial piece of the re-vitalization puzzle. Economics are directly connected to blight and can not be ignored in the re-vitalization process. RPDG partners with local agencies to provide training in vocational/educational planning, financial planning and small business development to help encourage and build a flow of new revenue back into the community. In some cases, new businesses may qualify for additional incentives when choosing to locate within targeted communities.

Fight the Blight was founded based on the overwhelming need for a focused and effective response to the economic devastation being experienced in this country. Rising Phoenix Development Group recognizes that this is a multifaceted problem in need of a holistic approach if this epidemic is to be eradicated. Our approach addresses each aspect of the problem at its core and seeks to eradicate the blight from within. This requires a joint effort with City Government, Local Businesses and Non-profits, Philanthropists and the heightening of awareness and participation in the community at large. RPDG seeks to utilize all these components in an effort to permanently eradicate the blight of economic devastation that has infected our cities.
